The 34th Ward is served by the 1st and 12th Police Districts. Police Districts are divided into local beats, which each have a regularly scheduled CAPS meeting to connect neighbors with the police officers serving their community. The CAPS (Chicago Alternative Policing Strategy) program incorporates collaboration to solve public safety concerns across Chicago.
It’s important to work together with residents, business owners, and police to create a comprehensive and proactive strategy to combat crime in our neighborhood. Alderman Conway works with 1st District Commander Harris, 12th District Commander Giltmier, and UIC Police Chief Booker to respond to resident concerns and communicate ongoing safety matters.
